2020 Dorothy O. Finley Outstanding Teen Citizens

The Metropolitan Education Commission’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) and the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation are pleased to announce the Dorothy O. Finley Outstanding Teen Citizen Awards!

Established in 1994, the Outstanding Teen Citizen Awards are designed to recognize 10 youth who have met the criteria in one or more of the following categories:

  1. Between the ages of 13 and 19
  2. Has overcome significant hardships
  3. Dedicated time to community service
  4. Demonstrated positive leadership
  5. Seen as a “Comeback Teen” i.e., an individual who has persevered through challenges and still achieved academic, social, and/or personal success.
