The Downtown Campus administers a Pima Community College program called “Education for Economic Empowerment” (EEE) that is designed for single-parent heads of households. This scholarship program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development offers skills for success in college and imparts knowledge about personal budgets, career exploration, leadership, and practical home repair (carpentry, electricity, plumbing, etc.) for Pima County residents to help improve their housing and economic conditions. It includes Pima's 3-credit Progress! course. The EEE program also features a neighborhood service learning project and provides reimbursement for child care costs while attending the class.  We offer Sun Tran passes, if needed. More than half of the EEE students continue their education with PCC. A new class will start February 5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15-8:00 p.m. at the El Rio Neighborhood Center, 1390 W. Speedway Blvd
