Name of Activity: Community College Advisor Workshops

Description: Because of the unique nature of Prescott College, the Tucson Center's admissions staff members visit the admissions and/or advising departments at community colleges around southern Arizona to provide them with transfer and program options information. This information can then be passed along to students as they look to transfer and receive their B.A.

Name of Activity: College Fairs

Description: Throughout the year admissions staff will participate in college fairs throughout southern Arizona. Counselors will be on hand to talk to prospective students, and provide print materials to anyone showing interest. Depending on the event, fairgoers range from middle school middle school to community program education professionals.

Audience: All middle school, high school, post-secondary, and community program counselors, coordinators, advisors, recruiters, and teachers.

Name of Activity: Public Information Sessions

Description: Twice a month, the Tucson Center holds on-site information sessions open to the public. Admissions staff will present program options relating to Bachelor's and Master's degrees, as well as teacher certification. This is an ideal activity to receive initial information about Prescott College.

Audience: All sophomores, juniors, seniors, parents, college freshman and adult students.

Name of Activity: Transcript Evaluation & Program Planning for Transfer Students

Description: Any prospective student who has attended another regionally accredited institution may bring his or her transcripts in for evaluation. Admissions counselors will accept transfer credits from regionally accredited colleges and universities in college-level courses in which the student received a grade of "C" or better. An individualized program plan will be drafted based on transfer credits giving the student a general idea of course options and program length.

Audience: All college freshman, and adult students.

Limitations: Students transferring from another institution; students with previous college experience.

Name of Activity: Program Planning for New Students

Description: While applicants are encouraged to take lower division credits at community colleges to help defer the cost of a degree, a student may enroll in the undergraduate program at Prescott College without any previous college experience. Admissions counselors will work with the student in crafting an individualized program plan.

Audience: All sophomores, juniors, seniors, parents, college freshman and adult students.

Limitations: New students; students without any previous college experience.
