Description of Activity: Visits are scheduled on the school campus so that students may come in and ask questions about the university on a voluntary basis. Specific programs, athletics, student life, financial aid and scholarship opportunities can be addressed. Students may apply to the university free of charge during the visit. Name of Activity: Scholarship Essay Writing Classroom Presentation

Description of Activity: This is a presentation designed to benefit high school juniors and seniors. The presentation first explains the different types of scholarships and then incorporates a lesson on how to write a scholarship essay. Students are shown what a quality essay looks like, given writing tips, shown scholarship search engines and then assigned homework. The assignment is to search out a scholarship which requires an essay, write the essay and finally apply for the scholarship.

Description of Activity: September 30 – October 1 or November 18-19. A two-day event that will provide potential students an opportunity to experience real life on the GCU campus! Including dinner with their parents, a chance to see the GCU ‘Lopes basketball team in action, attend a class and participate in other campus activities.
